“Its about his attitude…he really liked it!” The Chainsmokers on new hit Kanye ft. Sirens

He married his life long crush, he put out an incredible album and is about to release another one on his millions of fans worldwide, he has been on the cover of just about every magazine – like him or not, who doesn’t in some way want to be like Kanye??

The answer to that question is precisely why EDM hit makers The Chainsmokers (made up of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart) who hit us with the infectious track #Selfie, have done it again with their new single Kanye, ft. Siren.

“Its about his attitude,” says Pall. “Kanye gets a bad rep the way the media portrays him but the reality is that he made the best music in the past decade and while we may not agree with everything he says, he’s a confident self assured person and that is something everyone should be.” Adding jokingly “even if you are the fat kid in school.”

The song debuted on Monday on Buzzfeed, along with its very own quiz that allows you to tell how much of a confident self assured person you really are. With Questions like a) have you ever sent naked pictures to anyone and b) did you think they would delete them – you know its going to be a fun five minute quiz.

Pall has a plethora of pics of girlfriends past ranked a tktk on the quiz. “I keep them all, I have every single one,” he says. “I don’t know what we do with them but sometimes its fun to take a trip down memory lane.”

Memory lane is not where Pall’s focus is now that hes dating a paralegal at Skadden Arps in his home town of New York. “In the past I dated models and stuff,” the producer says. “ This one is equally as beautiful but I wanted someone with more job security I guess. I travel a lot and it’s nice to know that she’s really busy when I’m really busy. We’ve been together six months now and its great.”

In short, life is good for The Chainsmokers. “WE got busier and things have changed for us but we have a better grip on who we are and what we are trying to accomplish. The message with Kanye is a good one, and we want to do what we think is cool too. ”As for what Mr. West think of the song? “We heard he really liked it,” says Pall who was ecstatic at the thought. “We are big fans of his!”
